Cooking a Dinner for an entire family on weeknights can be a whole lot of stress, especially in today's world as everybody is overloaded with their work. The Dinner App tackles this challenge, by allowing people to prepare dinners more easily and quickly.
Background
Anna and her team previously launched an app with a regular development company, which turned out to be very inefficient cost-wise and was hard to maintain.
Instead of burning through the budget, Anna switched to a low-code solution, which would allow her to launch a new version of the app, with all the upgrades, quickly and affordably.
Process
To build a better and stronger application, which would allow The Dinner App team to grow their business, we had to understand what new features were the TDA users looking for. Essentially, the biggest addition was the ability to add their nutrition preferences, and based on that, they get new recipes each week, including a full list of ingredients to shop.
After identifying the most important features to add to the new version of the app, we had to work on implementing the new backend and frontend structure.
Additionally, we integrated a payment system, which allowed the team to start generating money through monthly subscriptions.
Results
The Dinner App team completely revamped their business model with new payment system with subscriptions, which allows them to be in a position to scale their business. In addition to that, with lots of new content coming in each week Content Management System is now much easier and simpler to work with than before.
Overall Anna and her team are now able to handle ongoing changes much more easily, while having a more robust and better looking app.
